  • Reminder these are styling tips and not rules. This is not meant to take away from your personality or personal style. Take this as a styling guide to help guide your choices and ensure your outfit and clothing don’t detract from your experience.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to wear something you feel comfortable, confident, and YOURSELF in!

Take the season and session location into consideration when styling your outfit.

When in doubt, neutral, muted colors are a photographers best friend. They are the most flattering to any environment!

(Foolproof colors are black, white, creams, muted greens, and browns.)

Textures and layering also make a great addition to any outfit. (natural fibers, denim, leather, knits, etc.)

I also love to photograph monochromatic outfits, tulle, leather, denim, cosplay inspired looks and any other fun outfits!

    Things to avoid:

Big patterns (chevron, large prints, etc.)

Pink/Red/Orange/Yellow (these reflect onto the skin and can negatively impact your natural skin tone.)

    Bright or neon colors

    Large logos/Sports jerseys/Etc.

    Be prepared:
Consider your location when packing and prepping for your shoot. Bring extra clothing and shoes in case you need to change at any point of the photoshoot. (Muddy or rainy day, walking in tall grass, getting wet or sandy, etc.)

  • Most locations have a public restroom that you may change in, depending on the location some people are also comfortable changing within their own cars, or in my pop up changing tent. Let me know what you’re most comfortable doing. :)

  • Digital images are delivered within 2-3 weeks of session, through a private client gallery. You will be able to download all images at high resolution for free, as well as purchase prints, canvases, or keepsakes through the website.

Upon receiving images, avoid screenshotting them as it degrades the quality. Download the high res images instead.

Please credit Nay’s Atelier (@Nays.Atelier) when uploading images online.

Avoid adding edits, presets, or filters to images as that does not properly portray my work as a photographer.
